A trip to Plymouth is not complete without a visit to the The Plymouth Distillery - the oldest working distillery in England. It has been making Plymouth Gin according to the original recipe since 1793. The Distillery’s ‘Refectory Room’, a medieval hall with a fine hull-shaped timber roof built in 1431, is one of the oldest buildings in Plymouth. The Distillery is protected as a national monument and is one of the city's most precious heritages.  Open Mon- Sat from 10-5; Sun 11-5.

The tours cater for everyone and thousands of visitors come to experience the unique character of Plymouth Gin Distillery and sample their acclaimed gin annually. The tour options include a classic Plymouth Gin Distillery Tour, an enhanced Gin Connoisseur’s Tour with dedicated tasting of a number of gins (and not just our own) and a much-appreciated opportunity to actually distil your own gin with the guest taking responsibility for selecting their botanical recipe and creating the final gin during The Master Distiller’s Tour.

The Plymouth Gin Distillery Tour is priced at £12.50 and lasts 40 minutes.

Visitors also participate in a short tutored tasting of Plymouth Gin Original, Plymouth Sloe Gin and Plymouth Fruit Cup.
