"A Lovely hotel! The service was outstanding! staff were friendly and happy to help. The receptionist was really welcoming and couldn’t do enough for us!
The location of this hotel is perfect, on the edge of Dartmoor but just a stone throws away from the city, So quiet and peaceful. Lovely grounds to walk around with stunning views. Our room was spacious, clean and warm. Huge sized rooms that contain everything you'd need during your stay which included a detailed welcome pack. We had a huge bed which was very comfortable! Only thing I would say was our shower was a bit small. For such a big bathroom the shower could be updated.
We ate in the Churchill’s restaurant, it had a good selection on the menu and fair prices! We had the two courses for £33 the food was amazing! Good quality and full of flavour! Good size portions. We went for the braised short rib, it literally fell off the bone! And then Nutella cheesecake for dessert! The waitress couldn’t do enough for us! Really attentive.
Breakfast was good, A help yourself buffet basis, all served hot and fresh, a good selection of hot and cold food! One thing I didn’t like was there was no where to put the lids from the hot plates. You’ve got a plate in one hand and the lid in the other. Felt like if I put it on the other hot plates it would have fallen off.
We had the use of all the facilities during our stay, a good size swimming pool, hot tub , steam room ,sauna and a gym ,all were well maintained and clean.

"My son and I try to stay here every year. Just for the weekend, use the pool, order room service and pretend we are on holiday! We only actually live in the next village!
Everytime it’s amazing! The staff are so helpful and friendly, the rooms perfect, food delicious and pool lovely and warm!!
The staff really are the best thing, they make Albert ( aged 8!), feel like a king when he checks in! Its a silly little thing I like to do for him, make him feel like it’s his mini break and not my excuse to avoid the washing pile, but the staff are always so attentive and helpful and smiley!
We will be back next year… and every year!"

"Great Hotel, very clean, very friendly and efficient staff. Nothing too much trouble. Rooms a good size very clean and comfortable beds. The food in the bar is excellent choice. The restaurant is OK food choice is extremely limited and would be improved by offering the bar menu as well.
The spa area was good with very good pool, excellent steam room and sauna."

"Firstly thank you from us both for the best hospitality we've ever received from each and every member of staff. A free room upgrade on arrival to a premier double room which was lovely, the room was big, good sized bathroom and comfortable bed. A great light lunch in the bar followed by a swim and jacuzzi in the leisure facilities. We had a 3 course evening meal in the restaurant which again was very good, the desserts first class especially the chocolate fondant. Defiantly on our list to visit again. Value for money was exceptional."

All staff were wonderful, welcoming and friendly and friendly at all times.
